ERA Replicas have been building the best fiberglass Cobras since
1980 right here in the USA. Piggy-backing off their highly
successful business of building 427 Cobras and GT cars, the market
demanded a proper small block Cobra replica and thus birthed the ERA
FIA Roadster. ERA pulled out all the stops when
they decided to reproduce the FIA Cobra. ERA's FIA Roadster is
painstakingly authentic as they carefully measured and replicated the
body of the only known original FIA car (CSX 2345) that hasn't been
rebodied. They put
this body on their very own proven coil over suspension chassis and the
result is what you see here in this fine example. This car was
built as a
complete turn-key car completed by ERA's own factory technicians in
1999, and was not sold as a kit. Chassis #2033 has been
carefully preserved turning over less than 5,000 miles since new.
It was ordered with every option I could determine was available at the
time, less the all weather equipment (top, tonneau, curtains, heater).
This car includes all the desirable features such as competition ERA
big brakes, 6 PIN FIA wheels,
front & rear sway bars, leather seats, premium carpets and most
importantly
ERA's own engineered rear end assembly with proper outboard disc
brakes. Power is supplied by Ford Racing's Sportsman 393 CID Engine and
Tremec TKO 5 speed transmission.
